About the Director

Chelsea Gonzales is the founder and director of Aistear. She is also the founder and director of the Oklahoma Academy of Irish Dance and has over 12 years of Irish dance teaching experience. She competed very successfully at the championship level in her teen years before retiring from competition in order to pursue her passion of teaching. Her students have traveled to competitions across the nation winning awards at each and every one. Performances around her home state have been a huge part of Chelsea's teaching career and she hopes to offer plenty of performance opportunities to the students of Aistear when the time comes.
